Someone please block the Internet!

I need to study math! I am addicted to Internet and should go to Internet rehab. (if not I'll eventually look like Hilary Clinton)

Anyways, since I'm already on a tiny break from studying: I can't wait for May to begin and with it, lots of parties from May 1. till May 17. - that's our national day. May will be kind of a break too, with my all day tests ending on April 30. and the first exam starting on May 19...

My sister's confirmation will be on May 2. It's gonna be one big family party of about 40 guests, many of them being family from Bergen, Stavanger and Egersund.

Spring's presence is becoming more and more persistent. That's not excactly a problem for me.

My hostfamily from Iowa, USA is coming to visit me in June! I am really excited to show them around and just seeing them again. I can't believe it's been almost a year... And in less than 2 months they will be here, in Norway!

We have to get our van painted sometime during these next two weeks. Russebil! Conclusion: lots to look forward to.

The surprize of the day: I met my kindergarten teacher. Which I haven't seen since kindergarten and still she recognized me!

One tired Sofie.. What was it that I needed a pencil for..?

Eric Burdon was sexy

I think I have a crush on Eric Burdon. Well, the Eric Burdon from the 60's at least. How serious, mysterious and sexy he looks in this video of the Animals singing "House of the Rising Sun" (he's the vocal). He's got that seductive but sincere glance that just captures me, his rough voice ain't bad either. The way they walk around randomly but really focused is just hilarious.

Also watch this, it's cool with the violin. And he looks hot here too! Especially during the bridge...

Back to the 90's!

We're dressing up tomorrow! Theme: the 90's.

I WOULD really dress up as one of the Spice Girls, picking the worst of this century's fashion: giant buffalo shoes, flare pants and a really short glittery top (of course without a bra... which remids me; my mother used to warn me against those belly-showing tops, saying my body would produce a second layer of fat to keep my tummy warm)
Matching is absolutely forbidden.

SHOCKINGLY I do not own one single item/garment mentioned above. Not at the time-being, if my mother hadnot given away all old clothes I would still have my turquoise flare pants... But she did. Too bad. I think I will go for an early 90's sophisticated style, with a big T-shirt, washed out jeans and a blazer. Or maybe a flannel shirt?
Punk, grunge and hip hop also had their breakthroughs at this time. But that's not really my experience of that century..
This is (well these are the things that popped up in my head):
  • Every girl had her hair parted in the middle, of course.
  • "Friends" was in the early 90's!
  • Tamagotchi!
I have to admit that even though I was born in the 90's I first discovered the very best of the 90's music later: Red Hot Chillipeppers, Nirvana, R.E.M, Metallica.
- I did of course know Spice Girls, Britney Spears (late 90's), Boyzone, Aqua, A1, etc.
A sad childhood indeed if you look at music taste..
Or...?

What do you remember from the 90's?

Easter

This Easter break I've been working, spending some time at our cabin, hanging out with friends, swimming in the ocean again(!), skiing, watching a scary movie at the theater and of course eating lots of candy and playing board games. I visited my oldest friend, Terese, in Eidsvoll - we played even more board games as is our tradition! We always have a great time laughing A LOT!

PS! Happy late-Easter!

PSPS! Funny movies: "Rat Race" and of course don't we all love "Bridget Jones"?

Bigbang concert!

Thursday I went to a concert with Bigbang. Awesome! The concert was in Volda, so I slept over at Ina's and took a bus way too early back to Ålesund on Friday, to make it just in time for 30 minutes of history, then yet another concert at my school (at lack of a better word for it) with students performing. I was in the jury to pick out the winners of different prizes. (Hope nobody hates me for that)The main prize went to Martha and believe me when I say she is going to be a famous singer one day. She has an amazing voice.

But back to the point; Bigbang. Live. I touched Øystein Greni. The audience was amazing. I love their new song, "Isabel".
